It all started with a vision…

Engeløya, a truly scenic place in the far north of Steigen, located in beautiful surroundings with the Lofoten wall to the west.

We want our guests to experience all this region has to offer and the stunning nature in this part of Norway. So in addition to renting out the charming old main house Villa Vaag, we built three modern sea cabins as well. They were built with a sustainable mindset and our hope is that by letting people experience nature they would want to take care of it.

The cabins have minimalistic design, impeccable quality, natural light, big windows and memorable experiences.

From bodø

Fly to Bodø

• Rent a car at the airport (most big rental companies are located here). The drive is about 2,5 to 3 hours.

• Speedboat from Bodø sentrumskai to Bogøy 1h 55min. Find the boat schedule here.

From harstad/narvik

Fly to Harstad/Narvik airport Evenes

• Rent a car. The drive is about 4 hours (via Lødingen).

From svolvær

• Without a car: speed boat from Svolvær to Bogøy 1h 25min. Find the boad schedule here.

• With a car: either with a ferry from Svolvær to Skutvik and then car to Engeløya, in total 4h. Alternatively via Lødingen, with a ferry to Bognes and then to Engeløya, in total 4,5h. Find the ferry schedule here.
